“Bottomless Pit”

This is part of a series of paintings called “Unstructured Consciousness”. This series was inspired by the Buddhist story of “The Ten Oxherding Pictures”. The visual abstract expression emerged from when I reached the end of the 10 pictures, and I suddenly felt as if I were free-falling through life and not expecting anything from its impermanent nature.

Zen story of “The 10 Oxherding pictures”, as it made me feel as if the floor from under my feet was removed and thus it freed me, from the past, present, and future and of any unnecessary attachments.

My depiction of free falling will also produce that liberating feeling as you look at it.
